Belt conveyors offer smooth and continuous operation, long-distance transport, and flexibility in layout.
Roller conveyors use cylindrical rollers to support and move items. They can be powered or gravity-driven. Powered roller conveyors are perfect for heavier loads and automated systems, while gravity roller conveyors rely on the slope of the surface to move items, offering simple and cost-effective solutions for lightweight goods.
Chain conveyors use chains to move materials and are suitable for heavy, hot, or abrasive loads. They are commonly used in automotive, steel, and food processing industries. Variants include slat chain conveyors, which carry pallets or boxes, and apron conveyors, which are designed for very heavy materials.
Screw conveyors, or augers, transport bulk materials horizontally or at an incline using a rotating helical screw blade. They are widely used in agriculture, food processing, and chemical industries for powders, grains, and granules.
Other specialized conveyors include overhead conveyors, which move items above the workspace to save floor space; pneumatic conveyors, which use air pressure to transport materials; and vibrating conveyors, which move materials via controlled vibration.
Selecting the right conveyor type depends on material characteristics, load weight, distance, and operational requirements. By choosing the appropriate system, industries can achieve higher efficiency, safer handling, and reduced operational costs, making conveyors an indispensable part of modern material handling.
